• Mobilization and Capacity Building of state and district level NGOs and Civil Society groups on Tobacco Control at the grassroots level.
• Policy Advocacy at state level through important, high level political and independent bodies like the ICDHI, WHO, IUPHE and AFTC
• Tobacco control Monitoring and reporting through direct and indirect lobbying with enforcement agencies and local media;
• Establishing Resource Center and Publication of information and education materials for researchers, NGOs, health professionals, policy makers and the general public.
• Mainstreaming of Tobacco Control Programs

RTIs were filed to different government departments, meeting with DGHS, Nodal officers of State and District Tobacco Control Cell to collect information regarding implementation of COTPA 2003. Report of Air Quality Monitoring was released by organizing a Press Conference. Meeting with DGP and DIG was held and in result, Orientation of Enforcement Officers on COTPA 2003 and ill effects of second hand smoke was organized. Political advocacy was done and a State level advocacy workshop to make Lucknow Smoke Free was conducted.

Coalition in the context of advocacy mean alliances of organizations working together for a common cause and it is an important step to build support for advocacy. A strategic planning meeting was organized with coalition partners.

For increasing visibility and awareness about program, involvement of Media, Hotel association can play a crucial role hence regular discussion with Media, Hotel Association and other stakeholders has been done to create a smoke free environment.
