The Governing Board of UPVHA is directly elected for a period of three years by the General Body. These constitutional bodies are meeting regularly with a view to ensure larger participation of the members. An intermediate body called Regional Resource Committee (RRC), which is also constituted by the General Body, exists at the regional level. Apart from programme planning, monitoring and precessing of application for membership, the RRCs are also expected to raise/pool/augment resources. Each RRC also has three or four resource persons from the region. They are non-members and help in creating linkages with academic/professional institutions in the region. Utmost transparency and accountability have been ensured in the governance of UPVHA.
